Assist Scholarship Program

Assist Scholarship Program

The ASSIST program is an exchange program that has been running in the US for 50 years, accepting students from 52 countries and boasting a total of 5,210 alumni. Selected students have the opportunity to study at independent, private American high schools for one academic year (10 months) with either full or partial scholarships. As part of this program, they are eligible for a tuition scholarship worth approximately $60,000.

As can be expected, students who qualify for the ASSIST scholarship must undergo a highly competitive process. First, students must pass the English Proficiency exam and then present themselves in interviews.

Aim of the Program
The ASSIST Scholarship Program is a significant high school exchange program that supports and provides scholarships to high-achieving students who wish to participate in exchange programs. Approved by the Department of State, the ASSIST program selects high-achieving students from various countries through special exams and interviews, and places them with scholarships in the best private schools in the United States, either boarding or day (homestay) programs. The program aims to provide selected students with the opportunity to study in a different academic system and experience a new culture. It also serves as a valuable reference for students who wish to later study at a university in the United States.

The most significant feature that distinguishes the ASSIST program from other exchange programs is that it offers students the opportunity to spend a full or partial scholarship year at private, independent high schools recognized as some of the best in the world. It also provides the opportunity to become an ASSIST Scholar, which provides a distinct advantage in future applications to international universities. Students selected for the program are highly recognized by many leading universities in their later years. Cultural exchange and academic success are at the core of the program.

The Assist Scholarship Program selects students from Turkey with a certain quota, and LMK Consulting is the sole country coordinator for the selections in Türkiye.
